something that would be really cool is a "Invasion" game mode for R3.. randomly spawns drones runners and occasional praes to spawn and attack all non xeno-players. (players shouldnt be a xeno during this game type though...)

The "Invasion" thingy would need just some special maps, make random spawners, and there would be your Invasion mode.

would it be possible to have the bots spawn from the player spawns too?
because compatability with more maps is better.

Maybe just some simple skirmish maps with the multiple alien bot spawners that continually spawns bots... that'd be fun, a bit laggy though probably.

There is a slight problem though.

All the AI maps i have played, you cant kill an Alien unless you blow off a limb, which really takes away from the experience as you have to mindlessly wave your rifle around a target before you kill it. That or you have to run around with explosives or a flamethrower only which is only fun for the first 10 minutes.

I dont know if R3 has sorted this problem, but currently in standard AvP2 it is quite the problem and an annoying one at that, cause theres maps like Breakdown which have the potential to be very fun.

(And for the record, i have tested if standard munitions can kill them, i stood there firing away with 5 full clips of Pulserifle into a Drone's head to no avail. Then i put a grenade into it and instant chop suey.)

look at maps like DnD quar, those drones go down with a couple rounds easy. R3 bots will most likely be normal compared to the mamoths that are in avp2

Well those bots in DnD Quar are single spawn only, they dont respawn, which may have something to do with the issue.

But at any rate, i hope R3 can keep multispawners and a reasonable health. Cause even after placing damage rates at 200% they still dont die quickly.

At the origine (Lithtech engine, AvP2 source code) AI aren't for MultiPlayer. They work fine only in SinglePlayer.
MultiSpawner in avp2 has some problem too (you can't kill an alien with some weapons or without head shot). Some nodes don't work too.
Alien_JL try to make AI alien at base work fine for AJL Mod R3 Coop Update but nothing more yet.
And maybe there wouldn't be any Multispawner object retablish. still disable.

Well apart from multispawning, isnt the only other way for the AI to be existing, is upon starting of the map?

And for the record, current multiplayer grade AI requires gibbing to kill Aliens. In otherwords, a non explosive weapon, you would have to blow off a limb such as an arm or a leg, and it can be a bit fiddly to do in a pinch.

Otherwise, explosives and the flamethrower are your best bet. Predator wristblades have been known to do reasonably well if you can aim at specific limbs, i have yet to try the combistick though, which is next on the list.

flamethrower= best weapon against AI... you can use it as a shield without the risk of blowing yourself up

basic everything dm_bw is either an AI map or an opstical map everyone try dm_bw_anscenion where theres this big jumping ostical corse and u have to get to the top all speacies can do it but its very tricky and when u play it in ajl its gets really hard :confused: Cool
